Abstract

We will explore the utilization of photos as a pedagogical   tool to provoke reflectivity and dialogue, which can develop deepened   individual and collective understandings of a certain topic. Furthermore, we   will discuss the benefits and challenges of using photos in the classroom, as   well as ethical issues for teaching and research.

Victoria Bouvier

Vicki is a Métis woman, born and raised in Calgary. She has worked in the fields of early childhood education, Aboriginal youth leadership and student programming. Vicki has a B.A. in International Indigenous Studies, a Master of Arts Degree and is currently a PhD student at University of Calgary.
